Chef Richard Hao is a prominent name in Cebu in the field of heritage food and culinary tourism. One of his acclaimed accomplishments as a chef is his contribution to the community, a joint effort with the Cebu Provincial Tourism Office, where he conducted food safety workshop to different rural areas in the province of Cebu. Chef Hao is a well-respected chef because of his innovative culinary skill which he mainly prefers local produce and heritage crops. He has been active on promoting these heritage crops to bring back to the table. Slow Food Sugbo’s Cooks Alliance is not complete without the name of Chef Hao, being the chef ambassador of heritage cuisines of Cebu.
