Recipe by Nivetha Subramanian for Shastha Sunday Samayal
Ingredients
- 1 cup finger millet vermicelli (or multi-millet vermicelli
- 1/2 cup of mozzarella/ricotta cheese
- 4 tbsp butter
- Sugar syrup
- Ground pistachios
Instructions
- Dry roast the vermicelli on the stove for 3-5 minutes (Optional)
- Add 2 table spoons of butter to the vermicelli and mix it gently using hands
- Divide the vermicelli into half and press one layer of it on the bottom of a greased bowl
- Add a layer of cheese
- Add the other half of the vermicelli on top of the cheese
- Bake for 15 minutes at 350C
- Once cooled, pour sugar syrup over it and garnish it with pistachios
